As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote This school does not want any children that have learning disabilities or developmental problems (autism, down syndrome, etc.) in there school. They practice blatant discrimination and send to Ashford or Shadowbriar Elementary. The few dchildren there that have these issues are there because: 1. parents sued the school and won 2. they need to meet the minimum quota of special needs students as mandated by the state or 3. parents brought in an advocate and forced their hands by threatening their precious reputation. My son has autism and last August, I called to see who i talk to about registering him. They did not even see me or him. They gave Ashford Elementary School's phone number. The children that are at Bush Elementary and require extra help, only receive it after the parents make such a stink that the school has to. The vice principal, Ms. Delaughter, is the worst. She gives parens only 45 minutes for ARD or 504 meetings because she thinks that is that is needed. I would like to know where the principal, Ms. Rose, in all this mess? And why isn't she attending the meetings so she knows what is going on? Is it her school or Ms. Delaughter's? In short, do not go to this school if your child has a problem such as a learning or developmental disability unless you want to have to fight for everything your child needs and deserves. This school is walking the line of legality in discrimination among students that need extra help and I pray that someone fries their butts very soon. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
