While High Country Elementary has consistently ranked in the bottom half of Texas elementary schools, with below-average performance on STAAR tests compared to the district and state, the school does have some bright spots. It performs relatively well for African American students, ranking in the top 20% of Texas elementary schools in this subgroup. Open Quote High Country has given all 3 of my children an EXCELLENT education. Their main focus is an equal EDUCATION and preparing our children for the real world. I have been to many schools and by far this is the best in my opinion. At HC there is a school wide focus on respect for each other and to always give the VERY best! The teachers love children and are their number one priority!!! Close Quote
