Summary

Reilly Elementary is a public elementary school in Austin, Texas, serving 357 students in grades PK-5 and part of the Austin Independent School District (AISD). Over the past several years, Reilly Elementary has shown significant improvement in its academic performance, earning a 5-star rating from SchoolDigger and outperforming the AISD and Texas state averages in STAAR/Reading, STAAR/Mathematics, and STAAR/Science for grades 3-5.

Reilly Elementary's performance is particularly strong in STAAR/Reading, with over 84% of 3rd-5th graders scoring proficient or better, compared to the AISD and Texas state averages. The school also performs well in STAAR/Mathematics, with over 66% of 3rd-5th graders scoring proficient or better. However, the school faces challenges in addressing performance gaps among its student subgroups, with its Hispanic, English Language Learner, and Low Socioeconomic Status students performing relatively weaker compared to their peers. Reilly Elementary's performance, when compared to nearby schools like Pickle Elementary, Wooten Elementary, and Harris Elementary, highlights the importance of considering both academic and socioeconomic factors in understanding the educational landscape in the Austin area.

Interestingly, some nearby schools, such as Gullett Elementary and Brentwood Elementary, perform on par with or even better than Reilly Elementary in certain academic areas, while the nearby charter schools, Founders Classical Academy-Austin North and Cedars International Academy, have mixed performance compared to Reilly Elementary.

Open Quote On it's way to Excellent. This school did go through a rough patch but with it's new administration there have been many positive changes and several newly implemented programs and re-vamped programs will only make the school better. I live in the neighborhood and hope to see more of our neighbors' children attending Reilly in the years to come. Close Quote

Open Quote My son is white, and he loves this school. He's in a dual-language program there, and the new principal, Ms. Saenz, is fantastic. We are a high-income family that bought a house in the neighborhood and are committed to our neighborhood school. Close Quote
