Open Quote Many of the parents that send there children there kids can do no wrong, as a former parent that sent there children to Glendale, I was embarrassed for my fellow parents. They act as if they run the school from afar, disrupting the classroom on a whim if they feel like their own individual needs aren't being met, even at the expense of the rest of the class and school as a whole. The worst part is that the administration seems to allow this behavior not backing up their teachers when they need it most. My daughter loved the two teachers she had during here time there, as well as her teachers when she went to specials, so it confuses me when I had to hear other parents complain about every little thing that was going on in the classroom. My average rating is not reflective on the actual learning that is going on in the classroom, but more of the way this whole school is set up.

I get that now a days everything is about preparing children for tests so the school they attend can be better funded. But at what point did we decide what one test says is more important to a child's success than anything else. I want my children to be prepared for life in the best way possible, but at the same time be able to learn about subjects that interest and inspire them.

I'll quit rambling, but as a former teacher myself I feel passionate about education and the school system as a whole. I don't like the direction this school is heading or education all together really. Close Quote

Open Quote Glendale is a unique school with a caring group of teachers and staff and very involved parents and PTO. The students are exceptionally in-tune with diversity because of the Spanish Immersion Component. Close Quote
