Open Quote Warning!!! DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL. DO NOT LET THE SCHOOL'S SATS FOOL YOU. LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR MIDDLE OR HIGH SCHOOL. This is a significantly underachieving school. My child is in the second year of high school at this school. The principal and her staff DO the bare minimum. They do not have any parents meet the teachers events like other schools in September, are indifferent, and do not address or care about parents' concerns. The administration does not provide a welcoming atmosphere. They have an adversarial relationship with the PTA. The school administration takes credit for activities and programs created and run by the PTA. This school has VERY limited in-school and after-school activities. They provide AP courses in useless subjects, such as AP Photography. They do not want to engage with a hospital next door for students interested in pre-med or with local colleges for internships. This school needs more teachers for the students' needs for example, no Physics teacher or separate college counselor exists. Also, they have teachers who teach two or more subjects. They do not recognize high-achieving students.
Additionally, the seniors receive little to no assistance with the college admission process or applications. Note: The single guidance counselor is also the sole college counselor. Some teachers care most, however, do not. They pick and choose which students go on trips and/or enroll in popular classes. Close Quote
