As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote My niece attended this school and she is one of the smartest kids around town. She loves her teachers and still talks about them. I like the calm
school atmosphere and hallways. Love the
Motivational quotes on the hallway wall. I like their laptop computers for all the kids. The kids did a performance where they taught us Spanish
words and Sign Language, made fruit and
vegetable juices for the audience. The kids are pretty smart. Close Quote

Open Quote P.S.25 is amazing! It has the best education structure out of the whole district 16 and the best Math and English SCORE. Lets talk about some of there programs. Like Technology and Spanish Program. Second thru Fifth grade is learning Spanish just incredible. I was really impressed with the Sign Language class the teacher taught me how to say I love you. That was pretty cool. I really enjoyed the hands on activity like sip and paint, drumming class and activity works. I was so impressed with Tutoring program because it helps all the students and equipped them with laptops and tablets. I enjoyed the art gallery a lot. Thanks to my family member Ms. Griffin for introducing me to P.S. 25. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
