Open Quote Over all there is still a sense of community here, if you come from a school that does not volunteer or get involved you will here! Its infectious! There many activities available like once a month movie night, or our Festival of lights show, or our Harvest festival and so on. This school is small and if you become involved chances are you will meet many other great families and staff. After a while most school staff members know you and your child or children on a first name basis. Like other schools there are things this school's leadership needs to take into account. Every child learns at their own pace. They the (Schoo)l will provide help but not above and beyond. Many parents in the past have come across a wall when their child may need a little more help than the next guy. When school officials don't want to take suggestions or work together beyond the typical meeting problems will occur. In my experience some parents have left Ampark because of this. Don't get me wrong its not the worse school there are many other schools that wouldn't even hear what a parent has to say, however if are to prove that we exceptional and different compared to others we must first try to rise above pride. Open Quote Poor leadership. Principal arrives late, leaves early. More concerned with getting to Silver Bay where she works(see ad she posted on school's website) for 3-day weekend than with being a school administrator. If your child struggles in any area do not send her or him to AmPark. Your child will not get any support. Close Quote
