Open Quote DeVargas is a school that has been in operation for 53 years in Santa Fe it is the oldest operating Middle School in Santa Fe. In years past it has struggled with low achievement but the tide is changing and DeVargas is a school on the rise. Student achievement is up and continuing to rise. DeVargas is a small school that supports the students with student afterschool programs, academic clubs, support groups and a diverse amount of electives. DeVargas offers Algebra 1 for high school credit and out preformed all schools including the high schools with achievement in Algebra 1. DeVargas also offers Geometry for high school credit and health for credit as well. Students attending DeVargas can potentially promote to high school with 2 1/2 high school courses. DeVargas has a rich tradition of serving the Santa Fe community for over 50 years and is recapturing the glory it has been. DeVargas is a continuous improvement school, it never settles until its good is better and its better is best. Close Quote
