About the charts
This graph shows three data columns for the “% proficient” scoring students of the New England Common Assessment Program (NECAP) for each year. The first column is the score for Hollis Primary School, the second is the district average, and the third is the state average. Each bar represents the total percentage of proficient students, but the bar is also divided to represent the students who scored at a level designated as "proficient with distinction".
About New England Common Assessment Program
NECAP is a collaborative partnership among New Hampshire, Vermont, and Rhode Island, established in response to the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) which requires that all states annually measure achievement of students in grades 3-8, and in one high school grade. During school year 07-08, all NCLB required components of the NECAP will be operational.
