The Raleigh School has many good points, however it also has some significant drawbacks that turn existing parents (and prospective parents away).
The administration, in particular the Head of School, has an abrupt approach and her behavior is frankly rude and condescending.
The Raleigh School markets itself as an open-minded and inclusive environment, however we've had a very different experience. The administration and student body lack diversity in ethnic make-up. Additionally, there is no tolerance for children with any special considerations. No matter how intelligent your child, do not even consider TRS if your child is shy, needs extra help or doesn't fit the cookie cutter image that has been narrowly defined by the school's administration. Frankly, TRS is not worth the aggravation. You may want to consider The Montessori School, Hunter, Magellan or Endeavor instead. Close Quote
