Open Quote Does NOT prepare students for college. I saw a Facebook post from the current Principal, Mr. Hans Lassiter, stating how their graduation percentages have improved. Of course they have improved. They changed their grading scale from a 7 point scale to a 10 point scale. So 60 and above is now passing, where as 69 and below used to be failing. However, looking at their performance over the past few years on a State level and as a school individually, scores have dropped and performance has worsened. If you have a chance to send your child to another school in Iredell, or a private school, please do so. Close Quote

Open Quote This school is one of the worst schools I have ever been to. Their is no DISCIPLINE, the students are rude, loud, and the education is at the bare minimum if that. I guess they do what other under acheiveing schools do...let the smart ones take the test and leave the under acheivers playing in the gym. Student come to school with weapons and some come to school high from drugs. Most of the girls are pregnant. I cannot place blame on just the students, if the teachers would care a bit more about their students and try to help them instead of pushing them aside it would make a difference. Parents too are at fault, if they spent more time teaching their kids right from wrong then this generation wouldn't be the worst in history. It shouldn't matter what color or race you are. We are talking about our future. What kind of legacy do we leave our kids with? Stealing, killing, abuse, and looking out for number one or do we leave them a legacy of peace, understanding, compasion, caring and working hard for the things deserving with meaning? Times have changed and not for the better. The school district needs to get involved more. If teachers can't use the computer properly then send them to school to learn it. Don't have teachers teaching computer classes if they don't know how to use the computer let alone the software its embarrassing. Teachers should be 2 steps ahead of most students not behind. Learning is half the battle so get involved. Educations is no joking matter.
Please help this school out our future generations need to acheive and succeed.

Thank You!!! Close Quote
