About the charts
This graph shows two data columns for the “% met or exceeded standards” of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA-II) for each year. The first column is the score for Cherry Elementary, the second is the district average.
About Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment
The MCA-IIs are reading and mathematics tests that help schools and districts measure student progress toward the state’s academic standards. In 2006 these tests will be given in grades 3-8, 10 and 11. In 2008 the science MCA-IIs will be operational in grades 5, 8 and the high school. The high school science test is a life science test given at the end of the school year when students complete their biology course.
