Open Quote Turning Point Academy has an excellent staff. All of the staff teach and give very good instruction in helping the children grow in knowledge of their subjects and also in helping them with over-standing their awareness of how to conduct themselves in a manner which is good for their growth as they mature toward their teenage life.
Turning Point Academy teaches character building for all. The students and the teachers are accountable for their behavior/deportment. Turning Point Academy has integrated learning various traits, such as cooking, robotics, and other higher learning skills, in a after school program. This is a great school with great people instructing my children for their growth in many areas of life. Close Quote

Open Quote This school has helped my child grow in learning the education and discipline needed for growth and knowledge of past and current events, people, life situations, obedience, correctness, patience, care, respect and most important, love for people, self and what we all should strive to be the best in caring for one another.
I know each teacher and all others charged with caring for these children have the utmost responsibility in making sure each student is able to know more than the basic learning requirements of this county. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
