Open Quote Forestville Military Academy is one of the best schools in PG County. The continuity and the dedication of the students, faculty, teachers and parents is unbelievable. The students at FMA are leaders in their own right. They are responsible for the programs that they join. They take the lead role in the day to day activities and they do the grunt work to make the programs a success. They take education very seriously and drive for perfection in accomplishing their goals individually and collectively. Forestville Military Academy needs to remain an Academy. Close Quote

Open Quote First and foremost the name of this school is Forestville Military Academy. It is the only fully military academy in Prince Georges county. The ratings on this and many other sites do not accurately reflect the excellent education being offered at this school. FMA offers your child much more that academics. It offers your child the opportunity to be trained with the needed skills to succeed in the world we live in today and the world your child will have to journey through in the future. The instructors are also caring teachers who wholeheartedly encourage the success of their students. I expected my cadet to experience the typical first year of high school problems but the environment of the school, the caring faculty and guidelines adhered to have helped him to bypass much of that stress. Frankly, I am glad that he was accepted and attends FMA. He is stronger physically, mentally and emotionally because of it. Close Quote

Open Quote To The Cadets of Forestville Military Academy:
The proceeding held on January 18, 2012 captured the current affairs pertaining to your School; however I think it is befitting to note your exceptional demonstration as a group. You have signed petitions, discussed the pros and cons and taken an active position in these proceedings. Discussions in classrooms, hallways, on buses to and from School, the cafeteria and your homes have sparked conversations to debate and understand the why, what and how this proposed change has the opportunity to impact you individually and collectively. This may be the first time that some of you have felt that you had a voice to share your beliefs, dreams and aspiration with your community; to know that your opinions count even through you have not reached the age of majority. Many letters, emails, telephone calls and mass communications have been sent on your behalf. You have firsthand experienced what is known as democracy. Your Principal, Commandant, Instructors, Superintendent, School Board Members, Prince George’s County Council Members, State Senators and Representatives, the Governor and your respective communities are aware of your opinions. Your virtues of truth, honor, knowledge, and service are shining brightly, and I personally want to convey to each and every one of you how proud I am of you. Close Quote
