Open Quote This school needs to be shut down! I have waited 3 hours for a meeting and the teacher never showed up!!!! They took over 2 weeks to verify residency! They do not care. They DO NOT get in a hurry about NOTHING!!!!! Just plain horrible. Avoid this school if possible. I would not recommend my dog to go there!!!! Close Quote

Open Quote My daughter attends Eagles Landing Middle School and except for her 6th grade year, I am very pleased with the school. She has performed in the top 5 of her class every year and currently has high school credits. Close Quote

Open Quote This School is Horrible..The students run the school, not the staff..They brought in a 3rd principal this year. The Students are totally out of control..If they are not fighting, they are threatening each other, and the bullying is herendous. Just yesterday a student punched a bus window out for getting mad..It is ridiculous and out of hand. Close Quote

Open Quote This school has an excellent staff. Good students, and amazing teachers. The children here may get a little wild sometimes but when it comes to school work they get it done. Close Quote

Open Quote The computer generated ratings of ELMS do not give a complete picture of this school. It won't tell you that the staff and administrators are caring towards the students and warm towards the parents, yet they are firm with discipline and respond professionally, respectively. It won't tell you that there is a thriving “gifted student” population who are offered high school courses within ELMS for credit. It won't tell you that there are some wonderful teachers, involved parents, a welcoming/listening principal (Mr. Thomas) and overall good kids! Coming from home-school, we first attempted to send our son to Infinite Campus--but were disappointed b/c he wasn't being challenged enough. We decided to enroll him at ELMS. We are happy with our decision. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
