Open Quote Resources are excellent – the school has more tools, ie computers, beautiful library, and automation available to make some high schools embarrassed.

Support, never seen such enthusiastic parents willing to throw down their bodies on landmine to insure the school fund raisers and kids activates are a success. This is not restricted to the non working parents, but to both parents – it’s amazing and what make Kedron elementary school so desirable.

What’s lacking is the skill set needed to administer such a large tasking, when rolled out to such a large group of children and parents alike. Last years roll out with good intentions remind me a of a movie theater where people yelled “false fire alert”, and the build power went out, so they asked the blind attendees to monitor the entrance and exists – and that was a mildly stating how bad it was.

Kedron needs to drive excellent in automation, computer science and technical training. Encourage motivation in the kids to utilize the new tools, with support of the families. I believe our school will get better over time, but will time be on our side. The fundamentals of the dashboard were embedded in my child’s brain in Pre-K 3 years ago, and surpassed Kendron. Please, Please, if Fayette County, and Kedron faculty, please listen, take heed, and do what it takes to bring all the parents and students up to speed on the Blackboard.

Please, please, at a minimum, be prepared, the next roll out/introduction this week:

Have seating for parents and children – not have them seat on the floor, hallways, and wait to find seating as people left.

Handouts – Make them – and have them available of what you plan to cover, information they need to know, and or resources/point of contacts to answer questions left unresolved.

Passwords – Make sure you have a roster with those who have passwords, and have registered, and for those who have not – provide info how to register and documentation required.

Treat the roll out, as basic instructions – the Black board could be the lifeline to homework, training, practical studies, and I could go on and on. DO IT RIGHT this time, please.

The Parents of Kedron Support the School, Love the School, but need to make sure we do it right, and do right by our kids.

Kedron is the Best Elementary School in Fayette County despite our last score - now lets take back school and earn the rating of #1 - Please!!!!!! We lost our opportunity last year - but "no need" to repeat the same this year. Step up - and move up. Close Quote
