Open Quote Graysville is a wonderful school. The administrators do all they can to work with the parents on issues such as academic problems and bullying. While my kids were at Graysville, I never witnessed teachers and administrators ever say an unkind word to students. Close Quote

Open Quote Like all public schools, Graysville has its problems. The biggest problem is that the current principles do not want to address serious those problems, especially the bullying. I know of 4 different times in which they looked the other way. Another thing I hate is how some of the teachers are rude and hateful to some of the kids. My son was even denied his RIGHT to use the restroom, and because of this he was forced to go in his pants and sit in it all day! My son learned a couple of new bad words back in 2nd grade from a couple of them!

They more or less teach kids the answers and prepare them to pass the next test instead of teaching them how to think and prepare them for their future. Once students reach the 4th grade, they are expected to be as mature as students 2 or 3 grades ahead of them. We were so frustrated by the teacher and staff, and hate the public school system so much, that we pulled my son out in the middle of the school year and began homeschooling him.

As a parent trying to be involved with my kids education, and even trying to help the school, I felt unwelcome and was even told I should stay away. This tells me that they have something they are trying to hide.

If you send your kids to this school, or any other school, get as involved as possible. Visit the school as frequent as possible (even if they try to run you off, you have the right to be there). Listen to your kids carefully and ask many questions about what happens in their classroom and in the cafeteria. When faculty say, "you can trust us", don't. Close Quote
