Open Quote We have had to deal with another elementary school in this county, and I can't praise Mission Road Elementary enough! Not only does my 4th grader actually enjoy school, but my Kindergartner is thriving.

The teachers genuinely care about the students best interests, and do not believe in a 'one size fits all' classroom. The teachers actually communicate with the parents, not only through the mandatory Parent-Teacher Conference but through email, phone call, hallway chats. They know their students, and have great ideas for continuing to help them at home.

After attending another public school, my oldest was homeschooled for two years. He wanted to go back to school, so we applied for out of district attendance to this school, and it was one of the best things we've done. Our youngest wants to attend this school for all of elementary. I am very pleased with our choice in this school. Well done Mission Road! Close Quote

Open Quote Mission Road Elementary School failed my child. He was not learning in this school. I took him out of school to home school him. This school called the Department of Family and Children Services, saying that my child was not on grade level and I was neglecting his education. I have been having to deal with DFCS since removing him from school. I went and had him tested to prove I can teach him, as I have been doing so since halfway through Kindergarten. Right now he is in 2nd grade and on level on everything, and well above grade level on some things. As high as a 5th grade level. I feel that this school does not meet the intellectual needs of advanced students, and when they lose the money they get from enrolled students, they try to force the parents into placing the kids back in their school.
