This middle school, up until the past two years, had a student body that had few behavior problems, and the school had excellent discipline. For the past two years, all of that has changed. There's been one drug dealing incident (that's known of) on campus this year, and two students were expelled. Bullying is a problem somewhat, and even though incidents are reported, the bullies are either mildly disciplined, or not disciplined at all. There are more and more lower performing students than in the recent past, and the school's testing scores and grades have fallen. In 2012, Jenkins was an A school. In 2014, the school's grade dropped to a C. With the declining quality of the clientele and the weak discipline measures from the administration, the outlook for Jenkins is bleak.
