When comparing John G Riley Elementary to nearby schools in the same district, such as Sabal Palm Elementary, Pineview Elementary, and Bond Elementary, it becomes evident that John G Riley is underperforming academically. The high rates of chronic absenteeism and economic disadvantage at John G Riley Elementary may be contributing factors to the school's lower academic performance, and targeted interventions and support could help address these challenges and improve outcomes for the students.

Open Quote I have seen a remarkable change for the better in the last two years. The previous principal did a wonderful job, however, the new principal has hired several new teachers who are doing an outstanding job. The students seem to have a new sense of direction and more confidence. Perhaps having a man in charge has made the difference?! Whatever the reason, it is great to see the children striving to be the best and get the highest scores on FCAT. Thanks for all the hard work from all the teachers and support staff. Close Quote
