Open Quote If you are looking into moving into this area, if you are zoned for Patterson DO NOT buy, rent, look elsewhere. I live 1.5 miles from one Elementary school, and 5 miles from another but my kids are bussed to Patterson because of a court order that they are in violation of requiring that they have a certain number of white students. My kindergartener last year was put on the wrong bus, and they had no idea which one they put her on and was told by the school it was a transportation issue. The same thing happened with another one of my children this year, I had one child who was ill and forced to sit in his waste all day because the parent center was closed. No one bothered to notify us. The teachers seem unhappy, the school is in bad need of repair and the Principle is rude and demeaning. We have moved them to a different school and now my son is ( who was straight A's) at Patterson is now in danger of failing he third grade because this school ( which is not a title 1 school) is much further ahead.
