Summary

Stevens Creek Elementary is a highly-regarded K-5 public school serving 407 students in the competitive Cupertino Union School District, consistently ranking in the top 5-6% of all California elementary schools.

The school demonstrates strong, balanced academic performance, with approximately 78% of students proficient in English and 80% in math, and it excels at maintaining very low chronic absenteeism at just 5.5%. It provides effective support for all students, with special education students performing particularly well compared to state averages. An interesting point of comparison is that the closest school, West Valley Elementary, slightly outperforms it in recent rankings, while the highest-performing school in the district, William Faria Elementary, does so while spending significantly less per student.

While Stevens Creek is an excellent school, its science scores are an area where some nearby schools like Montclaire Elementary and Oak Avenue Elementary (in the neighboring Los Altos Elementary district) show higher proficiency. Ultimately, Stevens Creek offers a top-tier education, though families in this exceptional area have several other outstanding options, including Abraham Lincoln Elementary, all of which perform well above state averages.

Open Quote This school is really bad. The pavement is uneven and dangerous with gravel that can be a potential safety hazard. The basketball courts suck and the field is filled with weeds and other non-grass plants. It's like theres no janitors or maintenance. Buildings are also extremely run down.

The good part is that theres no bullying in my experience. Close Quote
