Summary

Mirage Elementary School is a public elementary school in Glendale, Arizona, serving students from pre-kindergarten to 6th grade as part of the Deer Valley Unified District. The school has seen fluctuations in its statewide ranking over the past 10 years, ranging from a high of 440 out of 1,109 Arizona elementary schools in 2017-2018 to a low of 747 out of 1,245 in 2022-2023, with an overall rating of 2-3 stars out of 5 from SchoolDigger.

Mirage Elementary School consistently underperforms the Deer Valley Unified District and the state of Arizona in standardized test scores, particularly in Mathematics, where proficiency rates range from 16% to 34% in 2024-2025, compared to the district's 46-56% and the state's 29-42%. The school also has a relatively high percentage of students from low-socioeconomic backgrounds, with 50.86% of students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch in 2022-2023, which is significantly higher than nearby schools like Traditional Academy at Bellair and Mountain Shadows Elementary School. Additionally, Mirage Elementary School's spending per student has fluctuated over the years, ranging from $7,724 in 2019-2020 to $8,687 in 2020-2021, which is generally lower than the nearby schools.

The inconsistent performance, socioeconomic challenges, and funding disparities at Mirage Elementary School suggest that the school may need to implement targeted interventions and strategies to address these issues and improve student outcomes. By providing the necessary resources and support, the school and district can work to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed academically, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status.

Open Quote I'm redoing this due to I got an email saying I submitted a rating . So when opening this email it showed I rated Mirage Elementary a 1 star??? Witch I would not give , because they were great in giving him the much needed help he needs being he had to leave Bellair due to the change in there school an they would not have the teachers he needed. So I definitely 100 give them five stars!! Close Quote
