The school's performance varies significantly across different student subgroups, with its Special Education and Multi-racial student populations ranking in the bottom 5% and bottom 3%, respectively, of Arizona elementary schools.

Riverside Traditional School's performance has been declining over the past several years, with its statewide ranking dropping from 651 out of 1,039 schools in 2018-2019 to 1,014 out of 1,226 schools in 2020-2021. The nearby schools in the analysis, such as Moya Elementary, Sunridge Elementary School, and Academy of Math and Science Desert Sky, also perform poorly compared to the state averages, with most ranking in the bottom quarter of Arizona elementary schools. This suggests that the challenges faced by Riverside Traditional School may be reflective of broader issues within the local educational landscape.

Open Quote My oldest son started in kindergarten and now in 2nd grade. I am very surprised at the level they are learning at and he is picking it up. My youngest just statted and he is already learning to read on his own. The teachers are good to very good, great school! Close Quote

Open Quote My children attended Riverside in during the 2013-2014 school year. I have to say that I was very pleased with the school. Coming from out of state where the school system is ahead of that of Az schools, I felt like my children were around where they needed to be in regards to education and curriculum. The staff really cares for its students and the Principal was awesome to work with. Anytime I had an issue or concern they addressed it quickly. The afterschool program there is awesome too!
