Chaparral particularly excels with Hispanic and Multi-racial students, ranking in the top 25% of Arizona elementary schools for these subgroups. The school also performs well with English Language Learners, ranking in the top 7% statewide. While Chaparral's performance is generally on par with or slightly below other Higley Unified elementary schools, two district schools, Higley Traditional Academy and San Tan Elementary, consistently outperform Chaparral. Additionally, Chaparral's statewide ranking has declined in recent years, from a high of 4 stars to 3 stars, suggesting the need for targeted interventions to maintain and improve the school's academic performance.

Open Quote Great local, community school. The administrators ensure teachers are striving for the best for our kids. It's gotten better and better each year. The past four years have been outstanding. Close Quote

Open Quote I am a business owner in Gilbert, AZ that has left 10-12 messages for the principal of this school. I tried to donate almost $4,000 worth of supplies and cannot get the common courtesy of a returned phone call. I will be allocating the supplies to another school in the area. If you are a parent at this school I would highly recommend you call the principal and ask her to return her phone calls. Close Quote

Open Quote In four short years this group of professionals have pulled together to make Chaparral Elementary School a "World Class" Institution. This school should be receiving a "Excelling" rating from the state. From SchoolDigger.com , anything less than five stars is a true injustice. My kid love's it here and is now entering the 7th Grade excited and ready to go. This was not the case in Orange County Ca schools. His grades are up, his attitude is outstanding and the only thing we are doing different is we relocated to this area. He love's his new school and teachers. He responds well and actually has stayed on top of homework assignments with out us having to "nag" him to get it done.

What ever you are doing at Chaparral, don't stop until you make it to the top! Close Quote
