Boulder Creek Elementary

I have experience with this school for over the last 8 years and the staff's commitment to each child and their learning is exceptional. The staff holds students to high expectations and wants to create lifelong learners. There have been several events to show what students are learning. From Ancient Wax museums, reading nights, Steam nights, fall festivals, musical performances, and even a talent show that shows off or helps to build student education. I am lucky to be a part of this school community and know that students who attend here are lucky because their teachers and the staff truly do care about each and everyone of them.

This school has been a wonderful place for my daughter and for our family. Every teacher she’s had at Boulder Creek has taken the time to truly get to know her as an individual, not just as a student.

The school provides strong academic and emotional support. In addition to a reading specialist, Boulder Creek is one of the few schools in Gilbert with a certified math specialist who works directly with students to build their confidence and understanding in math. The social worker is very intentional about getting to know each child and making sure their social-emotional needs are met so they feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.

The school also has an amazing speech pathologist who helped my daughter correct a speech issue in about a year. The school psychologist and special education team have been proactive and responsive in addressing academic concerns. Overall, we feel incredibly grateful for the care, expertise, and dedication of the entire Boulder Creek staff.

I’m beyond impressed with this school and everything it offers! It has earned an A rating from the Department of Education for the second consecutive year and proudly holds the title of an A+ School of Excellence. It was also recently named a Promising Practices School by Solution Tree, which is such a well-deserved honor. The teachers are truly dedicated and passionate, creating a positive and engaging learning environment every day. What really sets this school apart is its variety of programs designed to support all learners, ensuring that every child is given the tools they need to succeed. I couldn’t ask for a better place for my child’s education!

I am so glad we chose to put our kids in Boulder Creek. All three of our kids were identified as gifted very young, so we really thought about what schools would be best for them. We considered charter schools, other schools in the district that had higher test scores, or schools with more robust gifted programming. Ultimately, we decided to stay with our neighborhood school, and it has been a wonderful experience. My kids had good teachers that found creative ways to challenge and engage them, they made good friends from all sorts of different backgrounds and our whole family has enjoyed the strong sense of community we get from going to our neighborhood school. I’ve had the opportunity to be involved with the school, volunteering in different classrooms as well as with the PTSO and it has been inspiring to see the dedication and creative problem solving of the teachers and staff. I feel confident sending my children to Boulder Creek, and I brag all the time about the school garden, the therapy dog, the yoga and mindfulness classes that have made the elementary experience even richer for my family. My older two kids have gone on to rigorous gifted programs in middle and high school, and I feel like Boulder Creek prepared them well in terms of academics, work ethic, character and social skills. Choosing Boulder Creek has been a great decision.

Boulder Creek exceeds my expectations. Their teachers are top notch and they care about their students.

This school make you feel so unwelcome. You are not allowed to view your child's class freely at any time. So education is not a concern for the teachers. You need a pass just to step on their grass or even pick your child up after school and so much more to say about that school. If I had my way I would go back to zaharis. Now that's a school.
