The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) assessments, which are aligned with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), are being administered in Arkansas. Data from the PARCC mathematics and English Language Arts\Literacy (ELA\Literacy) assessments can assist in determining a student’s college and career readiness. The PARCC assessments are required to be administered to students in grades 3-10 for ELA\Literacy and grades 3-8 for mathematics. PARCC End-of-Course (EOC) assessments are required for Algebra I and Geometry, and districts may choose to administer assessments for Algebra II and/or Grade 11 ELA\Literacy.The PARCC assessments contain two components: the Performance-Based Assessment (PBA) and the End-of-Year (EOY) Assessment.Source: PARCC Assessments, Arkansas Dept of Education
