We are moving our child to another school next year. The class sizes are too large. The county has cut the teaching assistants. It makes for a chaotic, learning environment. Due to lack of appropriate supervision, injuries and bullying are a problem. The county guidelines for discipline are loosely enforced by the administration. The extreme focus on SOLs and memorizing facts is unfortunate.

As you can see this Elementary school is rated #14 in the state out of over 1000 schools. Not only does this school provide a great education, but we have lived in the neighborhood in which this school is located and it is one of the best locations in the DC area with lots of really nice families and children. Secluded, safe and full of young working professionals who put a premium on raising their children in a great community/family environment.
