| by a parent Thursday, October 25, 2012 The Montessori method isn't for every family but I can't say enough positive things about it. My child loves to learn, is doing math at high levels, reading several grades ahead, and is happy every single day. The children at this school are more mature and better-behaved than the nearby public school, perhaps because they are given more opportunities for self-determination. If the test scores are lower, it's because Montessori is learning-driven, not standardized-test driven.
