Marriotts Ridge High school is a very good school overall, but some of the teachers are terrible. If your son/daughter gets Mr. Rosnik as a teacher, God only can help him/her. He is their Math and Robotics teacher and probably the worst teacher in the school. Over the years, many parents have complained to the school principal but she does not seem to really care. He has no teaching skills, cannot explain difficult new concepts in geometry to students and if they ask questions, makes them look stupid. He expects students to figure out all concepts by themselves and on top of that is a very strict grader. Kids are working late into the nights till 11 pm or 12 pm just doing his homework and not being able to complete other homework properly as they have to figure out everything themselves. The same is true in Robotics also, where he gives no guidelines or coaching and leaves the kids to figure out drawings and plans by themselves. One wonders why the school is sticking with this teacher in spite of consistent complaints over the years!! Many parents have complained to the principal but without any results. I hope this is not the beginning of the downfall of Marriotts Ridge High as it takes only a few bad teachers to destroy the reputation of the school as well as the morale and motivation of students. Avoid this teacher with a barge pole and good luck.

wonderful high school especially considering the size. teachers are outstanding and maintain a culture of positive energy which clearly shows through the kids. students are very clearly goal oriented and achievements are celebrated often.

My son attends this school and we couldn't be happier with the facility, the staff and the quality of the education here. We considered River Hill and Centennial, but ultimately felt that this school provided our soon the diversity and small class size that we desired. The children that attend here are great!

He is thriving and attended West Friendship Elementary and Mt View Middle. Also EXCELLENT schools.

My son doesn't play sports but he fits in well and there doesn't seem to be the social pressure at MRHS that exists at some of the other top schools!
