Monroe County school system as a whole is excellent! We have one child that has been in the system since 2004 and is graduating this year at MPHS. Every teacher and staff member is involved with the children and the school goes out of their way to make every child important... even the most stubborn. The city of Forsyth is still old fashion in their development, but maybe they realized one day we would be in a money crunch, and we really are in good shape unlike the rest of America. If you want your child to have opportunities to learn, grow vegetables, rebuild engines, wood building, and not worry about social issues, move to Monroe County.

We moved from Bibb County to Monroe County because of Mary Persons. Our daughter is a senior and loves the school, I just wish we would have had four years there!

We moved from Gwinnett County to Monroe County 4 years ago due to the overcrowding and the decline in teacher/student time . Since being in Monroe County schools my son has had many more opportunities in regards to classes as well as one on one time provided by the teachers. The teachers here care about the students and want to ensure that they succeed. My son is in the top 10 in his class but he still appreciates what the teachers give him here that he was not receiving while in a different school system.
