To attend school in Washington State, students are required to be vaccinated against certain serious diseases. By law, schools must gather their students’ immunization information in total and send it to the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) every year. Public health officials use this data to monitor trends, track compliance with state immunization laws and identify pockets of vulnerability should an outbreak occur. The information provided in this section includes immunization data reported to DOH for private and public schools across the state since 2007.
